Does youth work really know boundaries? In the series of Youth Work videos we released by I’N'I Create, (Evelyn Fey and Lorena Spülbeck) we traveled all over Europe to discover what youth work really means and what form it takes. The answer? Youth work has endless opportunities and impact.

The project, Youth Work in Europe, took us to Belgium, Estonia, Finland and Portugal to learn what youth work is really all about. Whether it is scouting, national youth councils, student unions or youth camps, youth work is invaluable in creating better communities and a brighter future for youth in Europe.

Each video focuses on a particular youth worker (Filip, Heleri, Matilda and Igor) and includes interviews and video footage showcasing their work and personal stories and why their aspect of youth work makes a difference in young people’s lives. The videos culminate in a final music video igniting confidence and empowerment for youth and all they want to be.

The youth workers teach us about the benefits of youth work such as activism, involvement within youth councils, non-formal education and the international dimension. They illustrate the impact it has in their communities and how this work is the key to positive change in the future.

The European Youth Forum understands the importance of youth work and continues to encourage and empower youth across Europe to get involved and be a part of a youth friendly future.
