Lublin for everyone

April in Lublin started with Autism Awareness Week. From film screenings – "Extraordinary" (Nadzwyczajny) and "X+Y" – to art exhibitions – "Drawn Autism" (Autyzm Rysowany) – and offering the stage to literary figures on the spectrum who had the chance to share their experiences, this month is all about raising awareness. That’s why everybody was invited to the Workshops of Culture, which featured a Sensory Playground workshop during which participants had the chance to create a recycled Brazilian hammock.

discover your potential & develop your skills

Is improving your skills important to you too? On April 5, the city of Lublin organised the workshop "Strengths – Solid Future" (Mocne Strony- mocna przyszłość) and kickstarted the "Skills Up!" meetings series. If you want to know more and attend a meeting, check the Skills Up! agenda here.

mark your calendars!

Keen on protecting our planet? On April 22, join the European Youth Capital to celebrate Earth Day. This year, Lublin shouts “Earth on the edge”, and invites you to take part in expert debates, attend discussions on ecology and the climate and look for daily solutions that will allow our planet to breathe again.

Speaking of dialogue and cooperation, let’s not forget the Day of Intergenerational Solidarity – a meeting of representatives of different generations – which is celebrated every year on April 29. The European Youth Capital is organising an Intergenerational Festival in Lublin which will take place between 29-30 April. During the festival, 6 intergenerational panels, 10 thematic workshops, 2 artistic performances and 2 debates will be organised. The theme of the workshops will be to showcase the skills of both older and younger citizens.
