Since updating and developing the Framework for Quality Assurance of Non-Formal Education, the Forum has been committed to informing and supporting youth organisations in its implementation.. A series of training sessions have been run to build the capacity of youth organisations to assure the quality of their education projects.

Over the weekend, the Forum held a three-day training with the Lithuania Youth Council in Vilnius, Lithuania. Now with seven training sessions already under its belt, the Forum will be offering another training session scheduled for 5th – 6th of April with the Estonia Youth Council, in Tallin, Estonia.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Framework for Non-Form Education (NFE) was developed by the European Youth Forum in 2011, and since November 2013, the Forum has offered a number of ad-hoc training sessions requested by both its national youth councils and international member organisations.

Participating members, including the National Youth Council of Slovenia, MIJARC, ACTIVE, the National Youth Council of Portugal and the Croatian Youth Network have expressed their appreciation for the trainings. They also shared their plans to bring the knowledge they gained back to their organisations and start implementing the QA framework in their work.

The continued rise in the number of youth organisations requesting training on the QA framework shows the strong commitment by youth organisations to the quality of their educational work. The Youth Forum is committed to continuing to support its members in improving the quality of the educational work done by youth organisations and to enhancing their recognition as quality NFE providers.
