Still time to apply for European Youth Capital 2017!

Applications are still open for cities to apply to become the 2017 European Youth Capital. Becoming European Youth Capital is a prestigious accolade, awarded by the European Youth Forum that offers the opportunity to really demonstrate the commitment a city has to its young people.

Over the course of 2017, the successful European Youth Capital will showcase the city’s young population and the key role they play in the the cultural, social, political and economical development of the city, as well as encouraging more youth participation in society from the local level to the European level.

Previous European Youth Capitals have included Rotterdam, Netherlands, Turin, Italy, and Braga, Portugal. Thessaloniki in Greece is this year’s European Youth Capital.

Local authorities of municipalities are encouraged to apply through proposing an ambitious multi-faceted programme, which empowers its young people.

Deadline for applications is 20th February and local authorities of municipalities can apply through submitting the below Concept Note form to eyc2017applications@youthforum.org
