Pool of Trainers meet to strengthen the support to member organisations

23/06/2014

As one of the last sessions of the Youth Forum Academy, the Pool of Trainers (PoT) meeting took place 19th-22nd June in Vilnius. The Pool of Trainers is made up of 30 highly skilled and experienced individuals, from our member organisations, selected by the European Youth Forum to serve as a resource pool for member organisations to carry out training & facilitation with a focus of the areas within the Youth Forum’s work plan. The PoT runs training courses and workshops related to youth, as well as facilitating seminars and evaluations. It also helps to develop training tools and materials.

On the first day of the PoT Academy meeting, the attendees took part in a ‘Training-4-Trainers’ session, specifically on conflict management and self-directed learning. They also designed educational activities as part of the training development cycle. Over the next two days, the PoT met to evaluate the PoT work plan, create and develop modules, and discuss how to build a community of practice within the PoT.

At the Academy, the PoT worked together to see how they could better serve European Youth Forum’s many member organisations. The PoT is available to support all Youth Forum member organisations. To make use of the PoT, member organisations can always contact the Youth Forum secretariat.
