This past weekend in Brussels the new Pool of Trainers (PoT) of the European Youth Forum gathered for their first meeting to discuss the rules of engagement in the Pool and to contribute to the Capacity Building programme of the Youth Forum. The meeting served as a way for the PoT members to get to know each other and plan visibility strategies for their work. The PoT members also mapped their existing competences and expertise.

The Youth Forum Pool of Trainers is a community of practice composed of 15 young trainers who have expertise in non-formal education, youth work and advocacy. The trainers mainly come from our member organisations and are selected by the Youth Forum based on their specific competences to provide training, facilitation and educational support to our work.

The PoT acts as a resource tool by developing educational activities to answer the training needs of our member organisations. Some of these activities include training courses and workshops on topics related to youth, facilitating seminars, conferences and evaluations and providing input on training related issues.

The European Youth Forum thanks all the members of the PoT for their dedication. If you are interested in requesting training or support from the PoT please contact our Membership and Capacity Building Officer, Ivana Davidovska: ivana.davidovska@youthforum.org .
