Six years on from the introduction of the horizontal Equal Treatment directive, major hurdles still need to be cleared before the law can be adopted. Germany, in particular, is blocking negotiations on the directive within the Council of the EU.

Along with our NGO partners in the Equality for All coalition, the European Youth Forum is calling upon the German federal government to end its opposition to the draft directive and enter into a discussion without delay, in order to ensure that all Europeans are fully protected against discrimination.
