From 3rd-6th May, the Pool of Trainers (PoT) of the European Youth Forum, gathered for their annual meeting in Brussels, Belgium. This is the first meeting of the PoT, since the pool mandate was renewed in April this year.

The meeting was an opportunity for the PoT members to discuss their work, upgrade their competences through peer learning and training workshops and plan visibility strategies for their work. During this meeting, the trainers also mapped their competences and expertise, and developed a variety of training modules to support the capacity building of our Member organisations.

The PoT is a community of practice that provides educational, pedagogical and facilitation support. It is composed of 13 highly skilled and experienced young trainers with expertise in advocacy, youth policy development, non-formal education and youth work.

In a circle on the grass

The PoT has a key role to play in answering the training needs of our member organisations, through the development of educational activities. Some of these activities include training courses, facilitating seminars, conferences and evaluations. Topics can vary from youth political engagement to social entrepreneurship and work with vulnerable groups.

The trainers are also experienced in delivering training and consultancy on the quality concepts such as the Right Based Approach and Quality Assurance of Non-Formal Education.

The European Youth Forum thanks all the members of the PoT for their dedication and contribution to the capacity building of the platform.

If you are interested in requesting training or support from the PoT please contact our Membership and Capacity Building Officer: ivana.davidovska@youthforum.org.
