Today (22nd November) the European Youth Forum elected its board for 2015-16, including its new President and Vice Presidents. It also elected its new Financial Control Commission and ratified the Consultative Body on Membership Applications.

The board, which will officially take up its mandate on 1 January 2015, will have a two-year mandate and will lead and oversee the work of the European Youth Forum in striving for youth rights.

The European Youth Forum board 2015-16 is:

President: Johanna Nyman (Finnish National Youth Council, Allianssi)

Vice-President: Luis Alvarado Martinez (AEGEE)

Vice-President: Joan Conca Domenech (Spanish National Youth Council, CJE)

Board Members:

Márcio Barcelos (WOSM)

Stefano Beccari (Italian National Youth Council, FNG)

Dejan Bojanic (OBESSU)

Doru Curoşu (National Youth Council of Moldova, CNTM)

Bérénice Jond (French National Youth Council, CNAJEP)

Lora Lyubenova (ECOSY)

Tinkara Oblak (YEPP)

Ida Sørensen (Danish National Youth Council, DUF)

Johanna, the newly elected President, who is already a member of the board, commented: "It feels great to have this trust of the youth of Europe and I'm ready to work hard on implementing our common vision. This is the time to be strong in our fight for youth rights and work as an united platform for the wellbeing of all young Europeans."

The Financial Control Commission for 2015-16 is: Lyubomir Todorov, Sebastiaan Rood and Lukiana Suvorova.

The final afternoon of the General Assembly will see votes on resolutions of TTIP, a code of conduct and mobility as well as a policy paper on youth work.
