The competition to be awarded European Youth Capital 2018 is still ongoing. After a record of 20 applications, the independent, high-level jury selected five excellent finalists.

These five candidates have been working on their applications since they first applied last November, with feedback from a focus group of young people, an independent consultant and the high-level jury helping them improve.

On October 11th, these five cities will submit their final applications. The high-level jury will then meet, debate the applications, and the winner will be announced at the Youth Forum’s COMEM on November 27th in Madrid.

Over the next five weeks, the European Youth Forum will be casting a spotlight on one finalist per week: what they’re doing and what they plan to do for youth. Follow this on the Youth Forum social media (Facebook & Twitter) and on our website dedicated to the European Youth Capital title.
